Amy Orr

Director, Integrated Capitals

Amy Orr joined Heron in August 2013 and currently serves as a Director of Integrated Capitals.  Her responsibilities include conducting and coordinating due diligence and managing Heron’s investments across asset classes and enterprise types. Amy also works closely with outside research partners to improve upon Heron’s framework for measuring social performance of publicly traded enterprises, which the team utilizes to continuously optimize the portfolio for mission.

Prior to joining Heron, Amy worked as a research assistant in the New School Food Studies department, where she co-authored various publications related to global food insecurity. Prior to that, she worked as a research analyst at the investment consulting firm, Rogerscasey (now Segal Rogerscasey) and helped grow the firm’s manager research capabilities in sustainable & responsible investing. Amy holds a B.A. in business finance and community development from Portland State University and a M.S. in international affairs from The New School for Public Engagement. Amy also serves as an Advisory Committee member for the Sustainability, Finance and Real Economies (SFRE, pronounced “Sapphire”) Fund in which Heron is a seed investor.
