Lead Director for Research
Anne Wade, Lead Director for Research, has a wealth of experience in both traditional investment as well as social finance and impact investment.
Anne spent 17 years as an asset manager with The Capital Group where she was a Senior Vice President and Director with responsibility for European-based infrastructure companies. She now works in corporate boardrooms as both a non-executive director, as well as an advisor to senior executive teams; and holds several additional board positions in impact investment. In all her work, Anne is focused on the role that business, and its leaders, can play in society. She seeks to maximize the generation of both financial and social returns for all stakeholders.
Anne is a Partner with Leader’s Quest. She leads strategic corporate leadership meetings and offsites, and is the Co-Director of BankingFutures, a joint initiative between Leaders’ Quest and Meteos. The project is a collaboration of senior executives from some of the UK’s largest banks, combined with asset managers and other financial and societal experts, which seeks to articulate a new vision for the banking system that reveals lessons from the recent crisis and proposes a healthier future for all sector stakeholders.
Anne sits on the board of Big Society Capital, UK’s £600m social investment bank, tasked with both capital deployment and the development of the social investment market; as well as the Advisory Council for The Impetus Trust, UK’s largest venture philanthropy organization.
In a corporate capacity, Anne is a Non-Executive Director for the Swiss-based global industrial company, Holcim, as well as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee for John Laing Group, a global infrastructure asset manager.
Anne has a BA from Harvard University in Government and an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics. Anne divides her time between the coast of Maine and London.
