Kelly Donnelly joins Heron from New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office where she served as the Director of Communications. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Advisor to former Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy, advising the governor on matters of the state and overseeing all communications for the executive branch. Prior to joining the Office of the Governor, Kelly was at the Connecticut State Department of Education, first as the Director of Communications and Community Partnerships and then as Chief of Staff, focusing on increasing equity and strengthening the system to better serve students, especially those historically underserved. Before her tenure in the public sector, Kelly worked in grassroots and grasstops organizing, strategic communications, and campaign management in diverse communities across Ohio, New York, and New Jersey, among others. Ms. Donnelly earned a B.A. in Program of Liberal Studies, a great books major, from the University of Notre Dame.
