Research Associate
Zaw Min Aung joined Heron Foundation in 2025 as a Research Associate after completing his Master of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At UMass, his work focused on economic development, public policy analysis, and strategies for strengthening small business resilience through sustainable wage practices. Before coming to the United States, Zaw worked across research, non-profit, and development sectors in Myanmar. He has also contributed to socio-economic and legal research with international universities and organizations, focusing on issues of labor, governance, and inclusive growth. He earned his BA in Economics in his home country of Myanmar.
