The sharing economy has garnered a lot of attention in recent years with many praising it as a way to minimize unemployment and provide people with easier access to flexible work. However, people, such as Aspen's Maureen Conway, are also scrutinizing some of the most successful platforms for creating a market where workers have little power and are readily exploited.  In the video below, several experts at an Aspen event weigh in on the benefits and shortcomings of the sharing economy as well as potential strategies to improve the conditions and restrictions workers face.
